Financial model

Member finance designed around transparency and enterprise growth.

The constitution provides for registration fees, monthly contributions, project income, grants and an internal revolving fund.

SOURCES OF FUNDS

Multiple income streams, one accountable system.

01

Registration fees and monthly contributions

02

Sale of tree seedlings, coffee seedlings, poultry and goats

03

Interest from the internal loaning system

04

Grants, donations and fundraising activities

CHAMA / REVOLVING FUND

Constitutional loan principles.

01

Loans only to fully paid-up members

02

Maximum loan guided by available funds and up to three times a member’s savings

03

Constitution currently records a friendly 12% interest rate, subject to final clarification on whether monthly or annual

04

Every loan requires at least two active-member guarantors

Important clarification: the constitution states an interest rate of 12% but leaves “per month/annum” unresolved. The website therefore presents this as pending formal clarification rather than inventing a period.

FINANCIAL CONTROL

Two signatures minimum, Treasurer mandatory.

Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer; withdrawals require at least two signatures, with the Treasurer mandatory.
