Youth & community

Young people and women at the centre of climate action and self-reliance.

MWONET’s mission explicitly connects youth and women empowerment with environmental conservation, sustainable wealth creation and food security.

MISSION IN PRACTICE

Participation should lead to skills, enterprise and local leadership.

To empower youth and women through climate-change action and active environmental conservation, creating sustainable wealth and food security for members and the wider community.

That mission can be translated into visible pathways: nursery work, conservation activities, livestock and coffee enterprises, community outreach, savings culture, leadership opportunities and project ownership.

Climate action

Tree nurseries, planting, restoration, awareness and practical stewardship of land and water.

Enterprise pathways

Coffee nurseries, chicken and goat enterprises, savings and future responsible access to member capital.

Leadership & voice

Meeting participation, voting rights for eligible members, governance exposure and community outreach.

Food security

Sustainable production and diversified livelihoods that improve household resilience.

Skills & innovation

Modern farming methods, creative business models and practical learning through projects.

Impact stories

Future profiles, testimonies, photos and verified results will show how members and communities are progressing.

LOCAL PEOPLE · LOCAL ACTION

Representation that looks like the communities MWONET serves.

The visual direction now prioritizes Kenyan and African community participation, environmental action, agriculture and the Mount Elgon landscape rather than generic corporate imagery.
